Children’s Wedding Entertainment
Children are one of the most joyful things in life and a daily fixture for many of your guests. What should they do when invited to a wedding? The long, serious ceremony and dinner with various toasts and speeches can be exasperating for both parents and children. Once the after-party rolls around (and a few drinks have been enjoyed), mom and dad want to let loose and have fun. That is where children’s wedding entertainment is key!
In the last few years, many day care facilities and agencies have been providing babysitting services or children’s wedding entertainment for the little ones at weddings. From bouncy castles and balloons to puppet shows and games, a wedding can be fun for kids, too! Deciding to have kids at your wedding means thinking carefully about how to entertain them and make sure they don’t get into too much trouble or make it difficult for their parents to enjoy the day. Weddings can seem like a lot of fun to them at first, but can end up being super boring in the end. So what are our favorite ways to keep kids entertained at your wedding in Tuscany?
A great wedding planner always has a few tricks up her sleeve. First, make sure you have some kid-friendly food. Something familiar that they like will keep them fuss-free and happy. During dinner, if they are seated with their parents, leave yummy sweets, a toy, disposable camera or coloring book for them to play with. If you have a separate kids table then the decor can be all fun and games! Bouquets of lollipops, paper “tablecloths” with crayons and even a picnic blanket provides loads of fun during dinner.
If possible, designate a separate area to kids activities, like a tent or teepee filled with pinatas, toys, dress-up costumes, board games and movies. A bouncy house, life-sized characters from their favorite cartoons and a special show with music and dancing take children wedding entertainment over the top. You can even create a special Photo Booth just for the kiddies with silly props, face painting and balloons – but don’t be surprised if a few adults infiltrate the no-grown-ups area!
