Buongiorno! Let’s start this weekend off with a gorgeous wedding in the middle of the Chianti valley, with it’s swooping hills, winding roads and tall cypress alleys. Dotted among the landscape one can find ancient villas, churches and castles, which is precisely where we begin today’s story. The Castello di Meleto, dating back to the 11th century, was the perfect location for Lea & Moe, a sweet Lebanese couple, to say “I do” surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The ceremony was held on a hill facing a stunning view of the aforementioned glorious landscape. Lea’s vaporous gown was complimented with a bouquet of peach garden roses and chamomile flowers. The ceremony was punctuated with tall white urns of gypsophila and small bunches of chamomile along the aisle. There Moe waited for her, dapper in a blue tuxedo, charming with a big, wide smile. After their touching vows, everyone headed towards the Italian garden for delicious drinks and Tuscan hors d’oeuvres.
Though the weather was not its best that day, dinner was still glamorous under a transparent crystal tent, ensuring that the castle was enjoyed even in the rain. Long rustic wood tables adorned with wildflowers in tones of yellow and orange instantly brightened the mood. The meal was dotted with touching speeches, like from the bride’s sister, who passed around her own homemade marzipan sweets afterwards.
After feasting on a fantastic Tuscan spread, the master pastry chef then began to build the delicious millefoglie wedding cake before everyones eyes, each layer of puff pastry and cream meticulously piled into sweet perfection. The moment to cut the cake, Lea let her hair down and the crowd joined the bride and groom on the dance floor inside the castle, where everyone brought their best Lebanese-style dance moves. It was truly an unforgettable wedding of a seriously fun bride and groom!
