Intimate Destination Wedding in Florence
Hello everyone! January is here and a new year has begun. We, of course, continue to bring you wonderful weddings from our repertoire. Today’s Intimate destination wedding in Florence features a fun couple that has loads of style. Joanne and Joseph chose Florence for their wedding, specifically Saint James Episcopal church and Villa Le Fontanelle. Both locations are magnificent and perfectly set the tone for a lovely, intimate destination wedding.
The Bridal Party
The bride got ready with her bridesmaids in beautiful silk floral robes, sipping prosecco and giggling a ton! They wore lovely lilac chiffon dresses and carried romantic bouquets of gypsophila. The bride was elegant in a lace gown and carried a bouquet of freesia, gypsophila and green amaranthus. The groom prepared for his big day with his groomsmen, one in particular sporting a fantastic Scottish kilt. They donned matching blue sports coats, white pants, brown leather shoes and striped socks, in true Florentine style. What a dapper bunch of men! It was time for the ceremony, so everyone made their way towards the church int he center of Florence.
The Ceremony & Reception
Saint James is a 19th century Gothic revival church in the heart of Florence. Joanne walked down an aisle lined with bouquets of ivory roses, hydrangea and cascading ivy. After the ceremony, everyone made their way back to Villa Le Fontanelle, a former Medici farmhouse turned luxury villa. Long tables were decorated with gold candelabras and low vases of white hydrangeas, gypsophila, green amaranths and white freesias. Plates and glasses were elegantly edged in gold, a beautiful contrast to the rustic wood tables. Guests dined under the light of string bulbs and they lit sparklers when Joanne and Joesph cut their delicious millefoglie wedding cake. Dancing moved to the ballroom where everyone busted their best moves until wee into the night! It was truly a perfectly intimate destination wedding in Florence
We wish all the best to Joanne and Joseph on their marriage!
Have a wonderful weekend!
