Real Wedding in Tuscany
Hello friends! Today we have a real wedding in Tuscany featuring a gorgeous couple. You know the saying “opposites attract”? Well, Rick and Leanne are the definition of this age-old proverb that describes happy couples the world over! Rick is a perfectionist, always noticing every single detail, while Leanne is accommodating and laid back. Together they make a seriously fantastic bride and groom!
They decided to have their wedding in a lovely church nestled in the hills of Fiesole, above Florence. It was elegantly decorated with large urns of white hydrangeas at the entrance of the small church and near the altar. Candles illuminated the church, creating a romantic glow during the ceremony. It was a beautiful, moving wedding filled with their closest family and friends who flew to Tuscany to share this moment. The bridesmaids bouquets each matched their dresses: with either pink, yellow or blue flowers. The bride’s bouquet included cream garden roses and white hydrangea.
The guests moved onto the reception, enjoying cocktails and small bites in the beautiful garden of Castello di Vincigliata, a gorgeous castle in Fiesole in the hills above Florence. Inside the castle, round tables were decorated with crystal candelabras and vases full of pastel flowers matching the bridesmaids’ bouquets. Each table was named after a famous rock band. During dinner, a tenor surprised guests by jumping into the room and serenading everyone with beautiful music.
The after-party continued in the courtyard of the castle where the bride and groom cut the cake. A master pastry chef from Tuscany prepared a traditional millefoglie cake, or millefeuille, in front of guests as a spectacular show. After the cake was cut, Rick and Leanne took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. That kicked off dancing for all as an awesome band played the best songs of the last century, keeping everyone on their feet until late into the night!
