Hello, ciao and buongiorno! Today’s Florence Fairytale Castle Wedding is a stunning affair starring an equally alluring bride and groom. Giulia, the bride, is a gorgeous Italian who decided with her love, Christian, a dapper German, to wed in the inimitable Castello di Vincigliata, an incredible medieval castle that overlooks the historic city of Florence from above.
The ceremony was created within the courtyard of the lower cloisters of the castle. A long aisle flanked by white chairs, each embellished with a simple bouquet of love branches, outlined the petal strewn path towards the altar. The touching and intimate ceremony was celebrated in both German and Italian. At the end of the ceremony, all the guests were invited to the terrace of the castle for a rich aperitif of refreshing cocktails and local bites, accompanied by a wonderful string trio that had everyone tapping they feet and filling their stomachs!
All the guests made their way to the insanely beautiful open-air courtyard for dinner, where a mix of round and long tables created an intimate mood. Decorated with classic white linens and arrangements of cream roses and olive branches, the look perfectly complemented the ancient Tuscan atmosphere. The real surprise was a huge crystal ball hanging overhead, which created an amazing lighting effect that resembled a night sky full of stars. It really created a magical ambience inside the courtyard. The couple also asked for their names to be rejected onto the stone wall of the ancient castle tower, personalizing the days decor even more.
The After Party
At the end of the delicious dinner, all the guests moved back to the terrace and gardens for the bride and groom to cut the fabulous wedding cake and dance their first dance as husband and wife. From then on the dance floor was open to all, beginning a fantastic night of fun and music!
